PROJECTS

LOCAL SCHOOLS

The Wind Project uses the Royal Yachting Association’s grassroots programme OnBoard, for our local Primary Schools. The aim of OnBoard is to provide safe, fun and equal access to Sailing for anyone through a structured and progressive programme.

We now have 10 surrounding Primary Schools Sailing with us. Aveton Gifford Primary School, Charleton & Alvington Primary Schools, Loddiswell Primary School, Malborough Primary School, Modbury County Primary School, Kingsbridge Community Primary School, Salcombe Primary School, Stokenham Area Primary School and Thurlestone Primary School.

That’s almost 200 pupils receiving a five week Sailing programme, three hour Sailing lessons each week.

Sailing lessons that encourage teamwork, determination, communication, independence, confidence and creativity.
